Historien om udviklingen i Danmark

1989 :
"My first indoor bike was homemade. I made it during the days of my elite carrier, because I did not feel comfortable on any existing exercise bike.

Neither the handlebar, nor the saddle were adjustable, as it was only built to myself.

I loved this bike, but it gave me several experiences for improvements and adjustments, as I pedalled away for nearly five years.

1995 :

I had finally designed and manufactured my first serial-produced exercise bike for indoor bike class purposes – although next to none of the fitness clubs took interest in the concept of in-door cycling at that point.

But I started up classes in my own Fitness & Aerobic Club 'Shape', and it turned out a huge success from the beginning.

The handlebars and the saddle were yet only up/down adjustable"

1997:

"Based on the experiences from "Shape", I made some improvements to my 1995-model.

First of all I developed a new brake-system, based on a top/down leather-pad pressure to the flywheel.

This system is very stabile, and afterwards copied to almost every indoor bike in the world …

…Despite the frequent need for oil maintenance, and the fact that the system unfortunately is not quite noiseless, it was still one of the best improvements to indoor bikes at the time.

Furthermore this model was the first introduced to the world market with back- and forwards adjustable handlebar and saddle”.
